The Chinese Literature Competition aims to inherit and carry forward China's outstanding traditional culture and enhance the Chinese language level and literary literacy of Chinese teenagers around the world. The competition is divided into three sections: elementary school group, junior high school group, and high school group. The content of the competition includes three parts: basic knowledge, reading comprehension, and writing expression. The basic knowledge part examines Chinese characters, words, grammar and literary common sense; the reading understanding part examines students' understanding of modern literature and Chinese; and the writing expression part requires students to complete a propositional essay or material essay within a specified time. Scoring is on a percentile basis, with 30% for basic knowledge, 30% for reading comprehension, and 40% for writing expression. The judges will comprehensively evaluate the composition from four aspects: intention, structure, language and writing.
